Our findings have never found incidents of tourists being bitten by dogs, insects or other animals while visiting North Sumatra, especially the city of Medan. Diarrhea is a disease that is often encountered by tourists, but not too many. The taste of spicy food is the main cause of diarrhea in tourists. There have never been endemic infectious diseases caused by mosquitoes such as malaria and dengue fever among tourists.

When referring to sexual activity, it is often found in nightclubs. This sexual activity is also usually carried out both between foreigners and between domestic and foreign citizens.

However, no cases of sexually transmitted infections were found in tourists at the Medan Pratama Medical Center Clinic.

Chemical Hazard

Has never encountered any cases of tourists who were drunk or unconscious due to the influence of alcoholic beverages.

Psychological Hazard

There has never been violence against tourists at tourist sites.Trauma due to heights, animals, or driving has also never been found in tourists

Physics Hazards

Tourist destinations that are in great demand by visitors are waters such as Lake Toba and Samosir Island. However, there are no activities such as diving, speed boats or snorkeling.

Until now, there has never been a case of diving-related illness such as decompression.

There are also climbing activities outside the city of Medan which have the potential to cause health problems such as slips and falls

Safety Hazard

Most tourist attractions in Medan City are more likely to be categorized as recreational places such as shopping centers. The tourist location is also friendly for toddlers and small children. Access to tourist sites is not as large as the potential for accidents in natural tourist spots such as hills, mountains, and waters so accidents such as falls, slips, and bumps are rare. Tourists generally experience accidents while driving
